The Anvil Mustang has begun to spread worldwide! The June 2011 issue of Hot Rod Magazine not only has a killer 7 page feature, but also a absolutely bitchin pull out poster of our Favorite 69 Mustang! Wow, now that's an honor! But hold on, what's this? The French magazine, American Muscle Car dishes out its own killer multi page feature and pull out poster of the Anvil Mustang!

But wait, there's more. Coming down the pike will be a feature

Lots to tell! The Anvil Mustang has been shot for an upcoming feature in American Muscle Car Magazine over in France. We had a blast doing a photo shoot and filming with Hot Rod Magazine up at Willow Springs Raceway. Also we just wrapped up a photo shoot with Popular Hot Rodding. Check your local newsstands soon!

2011 Grand National Roadster Show

The Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona Ca is one of the greatest custom car shows in the world. Luckily, it is in my "backyard". Ok, it’s about 1 hour from the shop, but close enough. We took the Anvil Mustang and placed it in our display. How'd we do? Well we took 2nd place in the Pro Touring Class and Best Engineered! Not a bad haul huh?

I used the flash on my camera so you guys could see the hose that carries the fresh air down to the rear brakes. The surgery and killer fab is all Kelly! Love the fine mesh! If you Mustang guys look real close you can see that the "ring" holding the mesh in place started out as the actual fake mesh factory insert. Nice!

Here it is! Back from Mick's Paint. Thumbs up all around! By now I am sure you all noticed the way bitchin' carbon goodies from Anvil. And there is more carbon to come! This is the hood and fenders being fit, which are now in Mick's hands getting painted as well. Too cool!

Aviad Competition & Jones Racing!

This is a cool mixture of parts! What we have here is the Aviaid oil pump, driven by the bitchin Jones Racing belt drive which is snaking through the killer timing pointer than came on the Kaase Boss 9! I would like to say an extra huge thank you to John over at Aviaid for all his help! John is one class act!

Just a little tease of yet another super cool thing coming down the pike! Here we have the hole drill pattern in marker laid out on one of the hood hinges. Just what until you see the finished piece! Mmm… Tasty!

Front Valance

If you look closely you can see the original factory turn signal base that is now converted into the inlet duct for the front brake cooling system. Back Up Lights

Here's another trick little part. These are what will be the back up lights. They are PIAA driving lights that are suspended on a ¼” tube of Chromoly that is tied into the side of the tail light housing. I will guaranty that this is one muscle car that you will definitely be able to see behind you when backing up.

Exhaust Heat Shield

Here is a quick look at the stainless heat shield that surrounds the exhaust port exit. Kelly made a template from cardboard then transferred it to stainless. The shield will be held in place by 4-40 stainless button heads. Cool huh?

Air Cleaner Fab

Here we are about mid fabrication on the air cleaner assembly that our new guy Aron Cranford whipped up. It draws fresh air directly from the cowl and features the original round cover from Ford. One of the cool points about the piece is that the rear of the base unit actually follows the curve of the cowl. Nice touch Aron!

Engine Bay Sheet Metal

Not to be outdone by Kelly and Aron, Pete buckled down and created the firewall and engine bay sheet metal. I used a “hard core” approach to the engine bay design. There is a lot of no-nonsense sheet metal and NASCAR style stitch welding going on. Just wait until you see it all together!

The hard core styling cues run throughout the car. This is the diagonal down bar that goes front the drivers left shoulder to the passengers right toe board where it triangulates with the lower rocker bars. It is also removable. Believe it or not, it does not crowd the passenger in any way and could be left in permanently with out compromising passenger

Fuel Safe

When you are designing a car like this there are a couple of key things to consider. The parts have to fit right, be able to perform above expectations, and provide safety assurance. I can think of no better company than Fuel Safe to fulfill those criteria! Here is a shot of the cell they whipped up for us. JRI Shocks

What do you get when the design brain trust that developed the Penske racing shocks bust out on their own? You get JRI shocks! I could go on, but really folks, do you need more cred than that? The shocks are completely modular, rebuildable, and down right double D bad!
