Nelson Racing Engines opened their doors in 1995. 11 years later, owner Tom Nelson creates combinations with the passion he had when building hot rods as a teen for his friends. To help Gm 572 crate engine owners, we developed our new 100% billet aluminum intake, igniton and fuel injection package as a bolt-on for the GM 572.
The NRE 100% billet intake manifold features intregal fuel regulation with a built-in throttle body and twin 68mm throttle blades.

We recently dyno'd and devolped this package and came out with some incredible results.The factory 572 with GM Carb made 627 hp at 5800 rpm. We then tested a Hogan sheetmetal intake with a 1900 cfm monoblade throttle body resulting with 659hp at 5800 rpm. The NRE 100% billet intake developed a whopping 680 peak horsepower at 5700 rpm and the torque curve is like nothing you've seen - 650 ftlbs at 3500 with a peak of 685 ft lbs at 4800 rpm! At 5500 rpm it made 650 ft lbs - within 2000 rpm the torque only varied 35 ft lbs of torque!
