The name NELSON RACING ENGINES has become synonmous with extreme horspower applications.
When professional car builders and car owners are looking to "push the envelope" of power and drivability, they call on NRE.

Put simply - we are gear-heads. We love high-horsepower performance and always have. It began with the question: "What if...?" and turned into a quest to squeeze every inch of power using innovative thinking combined with proven theory.
Nelson Racing Engines opened their doors in 1995. 11 years later, owner Tom Nelson creates combinations with the passion he had when building hot rods as a teen for his friends. "That's what keeps us at our best. There is so much to learn. I'm always a student," says Tom. "I eat, sleep, and breathe my profession and want to provide my customers with the best that I can offer. There is nothing more satisfying than getting to know my customer and setting out to achieve his (or her!) goals. It's what gets me up in the morning."

Nelson Racing At Sema 2009
Posted Friday 04-11-2008Nelson Racing Engines decided to exhibit at The SEMA show this year held in Las Vegas Nevada this is the largest aftermarket convention in the world. We unveiled Our new symmetrical turbochargers which are revolutionizing the industry. Our new100% billet intake manifolds with dual injector per cylinder and interegal fuel management system built into the intake body, Our new 100% billet 4 into 1 exhaust collectors. Our new Billet turbo transitions with v-band wastegate attachment built in, and two new Twin Turbo Crate engines. With this we also unveiled Our Nelson Supercars #002 and #003 cars. Supercar #002 is a 2400lb carbon fiber mid engine 1800hp 427 twin turbo dual injected monster in car called a Mosler900mts and Supercar #003 is a wolf in sheep’s clothing 1984 third gen Camaro featuring a 427cube twin turbo rocket ship making 1750hp which landed the cover of Hot Rod magazines June issue for all the new billet innovation on this car.
