Nelson Racing Engines opened their doors in 1995. 11 years later, owner Tom Nelson creates combinations with the passion he had when building hot rods as a teen for his friends. "That's what keeps us at our best. There is so much to learn. I'm always a student," says Tom. "I eat, sleep, and breathe my profession and want to provide my customers with the best that I can offer. Posted Saturday 11-01-2008Have you ever wonder to yourself why do all twin turbo applications use the same turbo on both sides why doesn’t the car builder just buy a left and right turbocharger and make it look right.Well at Nelson Racing Engines we’ve made a turbocharger breakthrough Releasing our new Patented NRE Symmetrical Mirror Image Turbochargers .For the last fifteen years We have been fighting packaging problems associated with conventional twin turbo set ups.Up until now every twin turbo engine in exisistence has run a non symmetrical turbocharger arrangements. This not only makes exhaust plumbing and intake plumbing unequal and the engine run unbalanced. Which translates into less reliability and power it also presents a ton of packaging problems .We have solved this With our new 100% billet Mirror image turbochargers. For the last fifteen years we’ve been flogging every turbo known to man .And no exactly what we wanted from our turbo. NRE started from a clean slate and designed the ultimate turbocharger .Every inch of this turbocharger is fully 5 axis cnc machined within .001 thousandths of an inch there are no variations in castings or wheel design because we start from a billet part. We manufacture the turbine wheel from solid inconel part.And the compressor section from a Solid 6061 blank, and have virtually eliminated balance issues due to our proprietary manufacturing process of true concentric wheels. Beyond getting the industry leader custom designed turbo design that make more power than you’ll no what to do with.
