project 55 pro street blown big block

Here at DMP we have finally found and started a shop project. It is a 1955 Chevy pickup stepside big window. The truck came with a mustang II front clip and a Chris Alston rear 4 link set-up, other than that it looks like everyone who owend this at one time or another had no idea on how to build or customize a truck correctly. We have torn this baby down to the ground, in the next several month watch as our project truck takes shape. DMP is doing everything in-house, from tear down to paint. We will have detailed photos and video loaded up soon of the stages of progresion. We just sent out the frame to Freddie at A&M Sandblasting in Chatsworth to get ride of 50 yrs of dirt and rust. Their will pics posted soon of the before and after shots.

Well its back from the blasters  and know we can see all the problem areas. the boxed in frame in areas has craked so this  will be repaired.As you can see were back to a rolling chassis with the addition of Wilwood calipers and rotors. We added a parking brake system form Wilwood since this truck did not have one when we got it. Also we added tubular arms from Fatman Fab now that we are a dealer for them. We have the mock up motor in place to start allowing us to fab up the exhaust and all other components that will be needed to get this thing down the highway.

The bed is now being set up so i can fab in a false bed floor to accomodate the 9" four link setup.
